Johnny Hiett, 89, of Benton passed away at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at his home.
John was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ and was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lou Turner Hiett of Benton; two daughters, Debbie Ivey of Benton and Ann Matthews of Benton; one son, Roe Hiett of Lebanon, Tennessee; one sister, Sue Hiett Johnson of Benton; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joe Edd Hiett; two daughters, Jondalyn Gipson and Temple Booker; his brother, Joe B. Hiett; five grandchildren and his parents were Elbert T. Hiett and Mabel Jones Hiett.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 4 at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home. David Myers and Murray Riley officiated and burial followed in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
